Wrestlemania 35 Star Rating Spectacular Prediction Poll

Predicting the Star Ratings at Wrestlemania 35

The best day of the year is almost here, no not Rusev Day, even though that ranks a close second. The day that I am referring to is Wrestlemania Sunday. To celebrate this incredible day, I will use my exceptional prognostication skills to rank each advertised match from bottom to top based on how I think the booking and execution will play out. The criteria for scoring will be the matches' aggregated star rating received from Dave Meltzer and Wade Keller post Mania.

I invite you to join me in predicting how each match will score by completing your own ranking in the comment section below. The poll will close Saturday night, April 6 at 11:59 p.m. Bookmark this excellent site and never miss out on any of the fun surrounding wrestling.

Without further ado, The Hater of Haters Present - The Inaugural Star Rating Spectacular Prediction Poll:

15. Women's Battle Royal

The Royal Rumbles the women have put on have been, in my opinion, quite clumsy. It's expected. Whenever you do something that you've never done before it takes time to perfect. This year's battle royal will be an improved effort, but it makes the last spot on my list.

HOH Prediction: 1 Star

14. Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin

I cannot rank based on outliers. The massive outlier in this one is that this match will not turn out as it has been headlined. I do not believe that we are only going to see Angle vs. Corbin. I think we will see Kurt Angle and Baron Corbin in the ring together, but Angle is fighting someone else for his final match. He has to. If he doesn't, and this match goes on as scheduled, forgive me for not putting it at spot number 15.

HOH Prediction: 1.25 Stars

13. Sasha Banks & Bayley (c) vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs. Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka vs. The IIconics - Women's Tag Team Championship

When they created this match, they did so to get on as many superstars as possible. In no way will this get a star rating higher than a 2.5.

HOH Prediction: 1.5 Stars

12. Bobby Lashley vs. Finn Balor - Intercontinental Championship

I am as excited as anyone else that the demon king will make his debut at Wrestlemania. However, that is the only thing this showdown is going to need. The demon will be the star, the match will probably get shortchanged, and that is okay. When you have 12 fights to get through in 4 hours (HA!), one or two of them will have to suffer. Adding to the calculations is that Finn Balor's entrance may take an hour depending on how long the ramp is. I will gladly see this be a 5-minute special instead of a 5-star one.

HOH Prediction: 2 Stars

11. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

It's going to be fun. It will not get a high rating. I think Strowman is the favorite, but it is hard for me to believe that he will win. He doesn't need to win, we all know what he is capable of. Expect the winner to be someone who needs a push.

HOH Prediction: 2 Stars

10. Samoa Joe (c) vs. Rey Mysterio - United States Championship

Mysterio's ankle injury will be a critical factor in this match. If there really is a match. I can see this playing out as just a beatdown in front of Mysterio's son to add to a continuing storyline.

HOH Prediction: 2.25 Stars

9. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton

It pains me to put this so low in the order, but I have to. This feud has tremendous potential, and I think it will eventually deliver, just not at Wrestlemania. Since this is their first time going at it, expect it to be an introduction to a rivalry, not a culmination.

HOH Prediction: 2.75 Stars

8. Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Tony Nese - Cruiserweight Championship

Pre-show matches typically get overlooked because of their positioning on the card. A Wrestlemania pre-show match that is not a Battle Royal can be extraordinary. The crowd is super hyped, the contestants have more to prove, and these two superstars have the talent to create a magical experience for everyone.

HOH Prediction: 3 Stars

7. The Usos (c) vs. Ricochet & Aleister Black vs. Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Bar - SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Much like the 4-way Halftime Heat show during this year's Superbowl, this match will start hot and stay hot the entire 10-15 minutes it will be given. Ricochet's Wrestlemania debut will no doubt see an incredible stunt or two which will have the crowd chanting Holy S!

HOH Prediction: 3.25 Stars

6. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins - Universal Championship

I know Brock Lesnar can sell, but can he show some versatility in his offense? If Rollins can get more than 2 moves from Lesnar, I have grossly underrated this battle. I do not see that happening though. It will get the time it needs so that alone will get it at least 3 stars.

HOH Prediction: 3.5 Stars

5. The Miz vs. Shane McMahon (Falls Count Anywhere)

The benefit of being a McMahon is that you are given a considerable amount of time to tell your story, and if it is not granted, you can just take the time. This match will rock! It will have all of the right elements: appropriate time, proper card placement and two proven in-ring performers who know how to tell a great story.

HOH Prediction: 3.75 Stars

4. Winner Take All -- Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Becky Lynch

There is zero chance this match is the highest rated. It may be the most compelling, but it will not be an Omega/Okada classic. Expect as many combustible elements during the match as you saw leading up to it. The web is quite tangled with this one. The unweaving will be virtually impossible, but it should be fun to watch play out. And yes, Rousey will come out on top. Sorry haters.

HOH Prediction: 3.75 Stars

3. Triple H vs. Batista (No Holds Barred; Triple H's career on the line)

Triple H's last name may not be McMahon, but everything stated in the Shane match applies here. The only hesitation that I have will be crowd interest. The crowd may not be into it. They should be, but they are haters. This matchup seems like a fun option to crap on just for the sake of it. I hope not. I would like to see these two get the most out of the 20-minute plus that they have earned.

HOH Prediction: 3.75 Stars

2. Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

Personally, my most surprising rating. This match will be hard-hitting and emotional. I like the possibility that for the first time the crowd will be overwhelmingly behind Roman Reigns, yet he will more than likely lose. It is going to be the second best match of the night.

HOH Prediction: 4 Stars

1. Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kofi Kingston - WWE Championship

This will not be a match, this will be a moment. It is going to be one that no one will forget. WWE creative finally gets the current fan base. They ran with similar storylines in the past, but those evolved organically. This one though, with Kofi Kingston at the center, is the first one they scripted together and they have done so masterfully. Get ready for an all-timer between one star that routinely performs at a 5-star level in singles competition and another one that easily could have.

HOH Prediction: 4.75 Stars
